Rachel Schilling,
LCSW
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my practice is grounded in the core values and principles of social work. This means that therapy will be collaborative, the space will be nonjudgmental, and you will be accepted just as you are.

My social work career has spanned more than 25 years, primarily in the inpatient medical setting and now in private clinical practice. As a social worker in pediatrics, pediatric intensive care, birth center, neonatal intensive care and trauma units, I have sat beside individuals, parents and families facing unimaginable crises. These persons and experiences have taught me that within every single circumstance, there is hope, no matter how dim it may seem. And within every single person, there is the strength and resilience to persevere, find joy, and live the life he/she/they want to live. These core beliefs are the guiding light in my work with clients.

In private practice, I am seeing adult clients with an emphasis on those facing struggles with injuries, chronic illness, caregiver stress, grief and loss, pregnancy, perinatal loss, and during the postpartum period. Additionally, I see adults with concerns about coping with everyday stress, depression, anxiety and other general mental health needs. My practice is informed by solution focused brief therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy and supportive therapy.
No matter what brings you to therapy, our goals will always be centered on what makes your life worth living, what brings you joy and how to be your best version of you. We will work to find practical solutions together.
